Didi Alcheva’s Next Excellent Adventure

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

How does a young girl in Bulgaria leave everything she knows, comes to the United States and begins to dominate in the highly competitive arena of internet marketing?

That’s what I discuss with Diyana (Didi) Alcheva in the latest segment of Kevin and the Giant Peach.

Didi is from a small town in Bulgaria where she lived for the first 12 years of her life. Her whole family moved to the capitol, Sofia, after she accepted into a prestigious high school, there. After some restless teenage years, she decided that she wanted to be an entrepreneur.

She started a few small businesses in Sofia but realized that to truly realize her dreams, she had to move to the U.S.. So, in 2005, Didi left everything that was familiar to her and did just that.

In her first month in the U.S., she was introduced to the network marketing industry. Although she struggled to accomplish much in the company she had signed on to, she was fortunate to be in the downline of Mike Klingler. At the time, Mike was venturing into the world of “attraction marketing” on the internet and formed Marketing Merge, a company dedicated to educating network marketers on the tools needed to attract prospects rather as opposed to the old tactics of multi-level marketing.

Didi went to work for Mike’s newly formed company as the “librarian” but went on to play a more important role when Marketing Merge partnered with Ann Sieg. Ann’s breakthrough product, Renegade Network Marketer e-book had captured the imagination of Mike Klingler. Although the Renegade Network Marketing System was a complete system it was missing just one thing. That thing was a simple-to-follow tutorial program. Mike and Didi and the Marketing Merge team set themselves upon the task of creating a series of 200+ video tutorials designed to train Mike’s downline on how to use the Renegade System. The original series was named, Renegade University – a name created by Didi – which was and is still offered for free at http://kevinmastaw.renegadeuniversity.com/. In the spring of 2009, Marketing Merge rolled out Renegade Professional which was an even more comprehensive training program built on the Renegade University platform.

In the following year, Didi Alcheva had become a brand name on internet marketing in her own right. She has garnered 100,000 followers on Twitter.com, almost 5,000 friends on Facebook and hundreds of thousands of people have viewed her down to earth educational videos on YouTube.

Now, Didi has left Marketing Merge and is venturing out on her own to create the Number 1 Entrepreneur News site at http://SocialMediaPress.com. While that’s exciting, what’s also exciting is that Didi will be developing this new online presence and offering to allow interested people to watch her do it, step-by-step, through her mailing list at http://www.DidiAlcheva.com.

Samantha Gardner : Be Careful About Pinning Your Hopes on Your Current Job

Friday, March 19th, 2010

On the show, last night, Samantha told her story of how she grew up in a Pennsylvania town where she watched as the steel industry, which supported that town, went into a rapid economic downward spiral.

Fortunately for her family, her father had been able to hold on to his research job at Alcoa and retire after 25 years. Even though Samantha’s father had preached to Samantha and her brothers that they should go to college, get good grades and get good jobs with big companies, he still obviously understood the importance of developing an income on the side through business ownership. He partnered in a venture as a tavern owner and worked there for several years after retirement.

Many people who work in large corporations understand, deep down, that pinning your future and your hopes on that job is precarious – and not secure by any means. They look outside the company’s walls and wonder if they could make it on their own. The answer is, “Absolutely! Yes, you can.” In fact, a large, increasing number of people are doing just that – cutting the umbilical cord with their company and starting new businesses.

These days, many people have no other choice. The mistake a lot of unemployed people are making these days is that they are out looking for the job that they had just lost. They have not come to the realization that those jobs do not exist anymore.

The only way to survive this and the future economic changes is to update your skills in sales and marketing. These skills serve anyone in any position in any organization or business.

As Samantha Gardner points out, one of the best ways to do this is through a training program called “Renegade Professional”, a joint venture between Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler. In fact, Samantha is a superguide and coach for the Renegade Professional program.

In the next post, I’ll explain more about what the Renegade Professional is.

Quit Being a Sucker and Get Paid For Your Time!

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

This video is actually several excerpts from the full interview which reinforces the idea that network marketing leaders should value their time and not feel guilty for getting paid to train people how to make 6-figures. Mike Klingler and Mike Sieg have put together a training program via the Renegade Professional that shows you how to do this if you choose.

Leverage is the Key!

Monday, June 29th, 2009

One reason people start businesses, whether traditional businesses or network marketing businesses, is to realize the power of leverage. Leverage simply means getting more out of an entity than what is put in ,initially. In this video, Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg point out the fact that the Renegade Professional training program is a great way for network marketing leaders to have leverage. They simply just need to plug their downline into the training and let it teach them how to successfully generate leads on the internet. Of course, once they have the lead, they need to work with them in the traditional way – phone call or face to face meeting – but at that point 90% of the work is done.

Better Relationships Through Technology

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

In this video, Mike and Ann talk about the fact that they have actually made more, high quality, relationships with the people that they’ve met online than with the old ways of network marketing prospecting and recruiting. I’ve experienced the same thing. (In fact, I met my wife through e-harmony!)

Network Marketers Need to Value Their Time

Friday, June 26th, 2009

In this video segment, Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler discuss the fact that most network marketers don’t properly value their time. In reality, most network marketers don’t put ANY value in their time training their downline at all!

This has never made sense to me. When someone “signs up” in a new opportunity, they will get nowhere unless they are properly trained in developing leads and then working those leads. This training has value. Without that training, all they have is a box of products.

What is the value of the training? It’s the value of a lifetime residual income – unless of course they joined the wrong company in the first place which means the value is the income that they’ll receive until the company goes out of business! The value of a lifetime residual income is priceless. Just ask Michael Jackson’s children.

Why Mike Klingler Decided to Teach Renegade University

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg could have just sat on their successes and kept raking in the doe. Instead, they decided to teach others how to overcome the same challenges in building their network marketing and mlm businesses that they faced. In this video, Mike explains why they did this:

What I did When I Ran Out Of Names On My Names List…

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Ann Sieg

Ann Sieg

…Or Decided That I Didn’t Want to Approach The People That Were Still On It!

She came into my life through a pay-per-click ad. I’d been building my Market America “unfranchise” for about 2 years up to that point. I had recently left my full time job as the paycheck was no longer needed – or so I thought. That’s a subject of another article but let me just say that you should be making at least 3 times your full-time job’s salary before “retiring” from it.

I was searching Yahoo! and in addition to the search results, there was a ppc ad in the upper right hand corner of the screen which read, “Market America – What Your Upline Won’t Tell You” or something to that effect. Being curious, I clicked on the ad which tool me to the landing page of this woman named Ann Sieg. The message of the ad was that Ann had burned herself out in the network marketing industry by doing what the company and had trained her to do. This was no surprise to me having seen others do the same thing. Between the weekly business briefings, the endless one-on-one plan showing with prospects in coffee shops that went no where, the monthly weekend seminars, the quarterly rallies and the twice yearly national events turned what was supposed to be a 10-20 hour a week effort into another 40 hour a week job! No wonder people quit the industry.

The other reason for the drop out rate was the “cheapness” which one feels in the prospecting process. You find yourself begging people to look at the plan. You find yourself begging them to sit still and listen to it. You find yourself begging them to come to the next business briefing. You find yourself begging them schedule a follow up meeting. The begging never ends. Now imagine if you’re a doctor, lawyer, or even a lowly engineer like I was. It won’t take long for the ego to kick in and say, I’m not going to beg anymore.

So, Ann Sieg’s letter really hit home. In addition to telling her story, she described what she found was the correct, more professional way to deal with leads and prospects. In fact, the product she was offering was called, “How to Turn Cold Leads into Hot Prospects.” Again, being skeptical, I called Ann just to find out if she was a real person. To my surprise, she answered the phone and, after I asked, she said, “yes, as far as I know I’m a real person.”

My short conversation with her was enough to prompt me to buy the package which was an audio cd with a workbook. The information in there was very good. I even received a call from one of her “business partners” offering his help if I needed it. This was my first exposure to “attraction marketing” which Ann was just figuring out, as it turns out, and is now all the rage in the network marketing arena.

Here’s how it worked: Ann wrote an “attractive” pay-per-click ad which took you to a well written landing page that described in great detail not only a problem that is plaguing the network marketing industry but the solution to that problem. After reading the letter, one couldn’t help but want to learn more. In other words, it described the pain and frustration I was experiencing in growing my business and it offered a solution to resolving it.

Mike Klingler

Mike Klingler

Well, just like so many things, I began implementing the items in the workbook but slipped back into the old ways of prospecting and recruiting. Add to that the fact that I was training for another Ironman and was president of the TriWisconsin Triathlon Team and. well, let’s just say, I let it drop for awhile. My sponsoring and recruiting efforts generally waned and were limited to bringing on those who were curious about what I did and wanted to be part of it. A few of them dropped out, quicklly, because, like me, didn’t like that feeling of chasing prospects.

Ann seemed to have disappeared up until about 2 years ago when she came out with a free report called “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.” This was a fantastic piece of material which highlighted the problems with the network marketing industry. She pointed out that there’s nothing wrong with network marketing. There is something wrong with the way most network marketers are trained to prospect and recruit. This free report led to the breakthrough e-book, “The Renegade Network Marketer” which was not free but upon purchasing the e-book you received a lifetime membership to the back office which contained literally a lifetime worth of material including affiliate programs in which to monetize your prospecting, tools for building an online business, advertising copy, etc.. The list is endless as I have yet to finish going through what’s there and they keep adding more. It was clear that Ann Sieg’s approach was to overdeliver to her customers. In fact “overdeliver” is an “understatement.”

What Ann was beginning to accomplish was turning non-professional marketers into professionals by providing them with access to the necessary tools for doing so.

However, there was still something missing. While all the tools for becoming a professional internet marketer were available in the “Renegade System” many found problems with a) knowing where to start and b) learning how to use the tools to grow their business.

This need was identified by an enterprising young guy living on the west coast named Mike Klingler. Mike had built a successful network marketing business over about a 14 year period. He had also been dabbling with using the internet in the lead generation and prospecting activities for that business.

Mike picked up the Renegade Network Marketer when it came out. He immediately saw that the tools were there but they needed to be organized. He also saw an opportunity to develop a training program for teaching non-technical people how to use them. A year ago, Mike came out with Renegade University which did just that. Renegade University is a series of videos in which Mike Klingler shows the student, step-by-step, how to implement the Renegade System.

This has become a wild success in the network marketing industry. And it did not pass the notice of Ann Sieg. It was a match made in internet network marketing heaven when Ann and Mike joined forces this year. Ann came out with another free report: “The Attraction Marketer’s Manifesto“. Early in April of 2009, they launched the “Renegade Professional” and the “Renegade Breakthrough Mentoring Program.” Of course, having experienced the value offered in Ann Sieg’s previous products, I did not hesitate in getting in on these.

So, now, you may be wondering what my results have been. That will be the subject of my next post. STAY TUNED!

What You Need to Build a Business on the Internet

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Building a business on the internet on your own is much like building a house on your own. You essentially need three things. You need tools. You need training on how to use those tools and you need a plan.

Which is most important? The simple answer is ALL OF THEM are important! If you’re missing any of these three elements in building a house, you’ll probably end up going way over budget or run out of money altogether.

The same can be said of building a business on the internet.

Maybe you’re an expert in blogging or SEO or social media (twitter, facebook, etc.) or pay-per-click or article marketing, etc.. In other words, maybe you’re an expert in internet marketing TOOLS. But do you have a plan to put these together in order to build the business that you have in mind?

This is what is the missing piece to the puzzle for most people including myself. I’ve become good at using the internet tools – but have been missing a plan. But no more.

Four years ago, I was looking for a better way to prospect and recruit for my network marketing business. I found Ann Sieg through a pay-per-click ad. At the time she was offering a product called, “How to Turn Cold Leads into Hot Prospects.” It was an audio and a workbook package that included much more value than what I paid for it – as I perceived it, anyway.

Two years ago, Ann produced the free report, “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.” I downloaded the report. It was incredibly accurate in identifying with the problems in the current network marketing/mlm training.

Shortly after The 7 Great Lies, Ann came out with “The Renegade Network Marketer” ebook. I did not hesitate to purchase that product and, again, Ann “over-delivered.” Not only did I get the ebook but a life-time membership to the “Renegade System” back-office which included every tool necessary to build an business on the internet.

There was only one problem. As I said, the Renegade System included EVERY TOOL necessary to build a business on the internet. The problem was that I didn’t know where to start. There was not much training.

So along came Mike Klingler, who, about a year ago put together a series of training videos on how to actually use each of the tools in the Renegade System back office. He called the series, “Renegade University.”

I didn’t know about Renegade University. But Ann recently partnered up with Mike and offered the Tools and the training under “The Renegade Professional” last month – which I jumped on. So far so good. Now I had the tools. Now I had the training on how to use the tools. But I still didn’t have the plan.

Well, at the same time that Renegade Professional came out, last month, Ann and Mike also offered what was called, “The Renegade Breakthrough Mentoring Program.” The RBMP is where, I discovered, to develop the plans for the business! And it’s much more than that. The students are encouraged to mingle and form partnernships (Joint Ventures) to help each other grow even faster.

This is where the inspiration to focus my “Kevin and the Giant” Peach blogtalkradio.com program on small business/internet marketing/network marketing. Each of my guests are either students of the RBMP or the Renegade Professional. THIS ONE IDEA HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED THE DIRECTION OF MY BUSINESS.

While Renegade Professional is currently closed to new students, the Renegade Breakthrough Mentoring Program is opening for a short period of time starting (sometime) on May 18th.

If you’re serious about building a business on the internet, you will want to be part of this program. Here’s the warning: RBMP ain’t cheap. But, believe me, after a few weeks you’ll find that you’re getting much more that what you paid for. And, if you don’t think you’re ready for that commitment just yet, there’s nothing wrong with starting with some of the freebies:)
