Kevin and the Giant Peach

Well, I thought I wanted to have this blog contain serious content for the serious reader….but I realized that, not only would it not be fun for me to write posts but it would be even worse to read!

So, I’m going to get goofy with this blog, Kevin and the Giant Peach. It’s going to be fun for me to write absurdity which I hope you will find entertaining to read as well.

What do I mean? For example, I watched a report on FOX NEWS about Obama having one “Blackberry.” My questions were, “he only has one? Was he born that way or did he have an operation?”

The problem with that last joke is not that it’s not politically correct or, as some might mistakenly say, “racist”. The problem is that it can’t be included in a serious blog post without being considered racist.

It’s similar to the problem Jerry Seinfeld had when Tim Whatley converted to Judaism supposedly to gain immunity for telling Jewish Jokes. Jerry wasn’t offended as a Jew, he was offended as a comedian.

(Ok..it’s not similar but I wanted to work the Jerry Seinfeld bit into this posting.)
